Forza is one of the most popular racing game series and fans will be happy to know that they won’t have to wait too long for it to return.
Turn 10 Studios announced that Forza Motorsport will release in 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. This will be the 8th installment of Forza’s Motorsport sub-series, although you won’t know it because it breaks the game’s serial number. According to the trailer, you can see that the gaming configuration is quite “heavy”, below is the expected Forza Motorsport configuration that you should refer to

Another popular Forza series is Horizon, which has been a huge hit in 2021 with the launch of Forza Horizon 5. Unlike Horizon which is focused on off-road races and other activities, Forza Motorsport 8 focus on providing an authentic racing experience with the most powerful cars imaginable.

Here’s a rundown of everything the Forza Motorsport developers shared in the trailer video:
- More than 500 cars when the game was released, 100 of which were new to the series: “The most modern racing cars ever” in the Forza Motorsport list.
- 800 unique car upgrades
- 20 race locations, including five new in the series
- “Physical lighting effects and fog”
- “A cloud system full of shapes”
- “Tens of thousands of 3D spectators full of cheering action”
- “Time of day and weather changes over time” along with “dynamic track temperatures, wet tire surfaces, and weather-changing rubber” (that’s when tires rub against the road) racing).
- New, higher resolution shaders and materials are “optimized” for ray tracing at least on Xbox (no details on ray tracing support on PC).
- Automotive paint “is obtained by spectrophotometer, resulting in a diverse paint pattern that responds to light much more faithfully in color, metal and gloss”.
- Each vehicle will have both damage and a true accumulation of dirt.
- Paint chipping simulates paint thickness and direction.
- This is the first version of Forza Motorsport that will be natively mixed for immersive audio formats such as Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos.
- The auto parts you choose will change the sound of your car and feature a new “zone tracking notification system” and “improved tire and suspension sounds”
