Free Fire OB39: Official release time and maintenance revealed

With Free Fire’s OB39 Test Server, players got a glimpse of what the developers are preparing for the upcoming update. Aside from the new features, revised character skills, new character system, and CS and BR tweaks are some of the key elements of the next update.

Recently, Garena also announced the maintenance schedule for the upcoming update of the game. Unlike previous updates, the maintenance time will be earlier than expected.

As previously revealed, the Free Fire OB39 update is expected to hit players on March 22, 2023. Here is the expected maintenance time of the server:

• Maintenance time: From 11:00 to 15:00 on March 22

Features of Free Fire OB39

New character system and skill rework

With the launch of the OB39 update, the entire character system in the battle royale title will be overhauled. Going forward, players can get gold characters and they will have skill tiles and max levels by default. Interestingly, the same changes will apply to pet skills as well.

Garena will probably tweak many of the characters in Free Fire to balance the game. Dasha, Otho, Xayne and Ford will be the characters receiving the official changes. In addition, a brand new Alvaro Awakens should also be added to the game.

Adjust CS and BR

Appearing in the Test Server, a new Super Revive Card will be made available in the regular version. In addition, the BR mode will feature in-game missions along with increased vehicle speed. Next up, the BR/CS Map projection with last season’s history definitely caught the attention of the player base.

While Garena has confirmed some features, the above mentioned additions and changes will only be confirmed after the patch notes are released.
