Microsoft “brings” its Bing AI chatbot to Android and iOS

Powered by ChatGPT, “New Bing” caused quite a stir when it was announced a few weeks ago. Microsoft’s rival in Silicon Valley and the current giant in the world of search engines, Google, was forced to quickly respond with its own AI chatbot, but Bard’s launch also went nowhere.

Not stopping at developing its super AI, Microsoft has just announced that Bing AI will be available on mobile devices. This makes it possible for users to access the Bing and Edge apps on both iOS and Android. The mobile app-based version will have all the features that the highly-anticipated chatbot has now, along with some extras that people are looking forward to.

According to Microsoft, the expansion of Bing AI across user devices is because it is a search engine, and 64% of searches are done on mobile devices. The company also hopes that will lead to making Bing a go-to for browsing the web even when you’re not using a desktop computer. Users can also consider Bing as their companion and consultant.

Users can also choose how the chatbot gives answers to the prompts they provide. They can stick with Bing’s usual conversational tone, or they can opt for something more concise like bullet points. You can also have a little fun with it and ask to get your answer in the form of a poem, screenplay or short story.
