The Day Before developer returns, praying for gamers’ forgiveness! – Game News
Fntastic – developer The Day Before – are back with a new project on Kickstarter, and are asking the gaming community to forgive them.
In a post on social networks, the team at Fntastic announced their return under the name Fntastic 2.0, as well as sharing that “everyone deserves a second chance”.
Additionally, the company also shared a link to their current project titled Escape Factory and emphasized that the company fully intends to “correct old mistakes”.
For those who don’t know, Fntastic’s previous project was The Day Before tried to trick the online community by advertising the wrong nature of the product – causing the game’s “server” to be closed after 45 days of operation and Fntastic to be closed 4 days after the game’s launch.
Above KickstarterFntastic has created a capital campaign to help with development Escape Factory.
At the time of writing, Escape Factory’s Kickstarter page had raised 220 USD with a goal of 15,535 USD (a rather random number). The funniest thing is, if you contribute $12,000 at once, you will receive a reward of “a memorable dinner with the founders of Fntastic”.
In addition, on Twitter, Fntastic also shared that after the company was closed for the first time, it also lost the copyright for its previous projects: Propnight and The Day Before.
Online, after reading Fntastic’s article, many individuals shared their feelings and most wanted the company… to stop making games.
A good example is user Fearlessplays12:
“Normally I encourage game companies to continue on their difficult path but stop, you guys are disappointing everyone.”
